CESA (Carmel Ex-Students Association), is the registered, official alumni association founded by Carmelites who have graduated high school from Carmel Convent School, Chandigarh. The association was seeded in 1997 by founder President, Ms. Niti Sarin. Having crossed over 1200+ members, spread globally, CESA is a close-knit, self-funded entity that has created a niche for itself with several recreational, sports and community engagement activities spread through the annual calendar year. Our banking partners for all purposes is HDFC Bank Ltd.

At CESA, it is a constant endeavor to give back to the growing Carmel ecosystem. Ranging from the flagship Annual CESA reunion to the most coveted Treasure Hunt, Gala Christmas Luncheon for the teachers, to celebrating Lohri each year with the support staff of the school are few among the many earmarked events planned by CESA. The Executive is elected every two years. The current team is led by the current President, Ms. Kavita Markanda.

CESA takes pride in working with several NGOs such as Yuvsatta, Sahayta and the iCare Project were close to 40 girl students at Bapu Dham Colony, Chandigarh are mentored, coached, and taught by CESA members as a voluntary engagement. The aim is to alleviate the children with basic education and be an enabler to transform them into confident, skill-oriented individuals who are better prepared to take on challenges and foresee opportunities that come their way.

Carmelites echo with pride as they transcend the ethereal Carmel experience midst the nostalgia and willingness to serve the society through their sphere of influence.
